I'm not sure I believe in Satan. I realize that that is a heretical belief to hold for a Christian, but I would rather call myself a Christ-follower than a Christian.
In my experience, redeeming Grace is something that feels like it comes from without, while hatred, envy, arrogance, and the like feel all too natural.
If the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing people he wasn't real, then the greatest fallacy of mankind is that we are not in need of redemption. I'm not sure there's much of a functional difference between those two beliefs, but I could be wrong.
