This an excellent article and very interesting and informative. I must admit that I am completely unfamiliar with Hansen, his on-line presence, or the documentary. But I do have some personal experience with pedophiles. I'm no therapist, but it seems that, as a rule, there is a specific character weakness in them that is exploited by spiritual forces of evil. Only Divine intervention gives real hope.
I was part of an accountability group for a man who had spent time in prison for sexually molesting a child. He would still get a predatory look in his eyes toward young children in public spaces. Like a reformed alcoholic who can no longer afford to drink any alcohol, this man could not afford to be around young children.
For a while I was followed around on Twitter by a young guy who has those inclinations but also professes to be a Christian and writes about being a "Christian pedophile." One of his friends and mentors who has the same inclination is married with kids. He was very offended when I bluntly told him this is wildly disturbing and wrong.
